Midterm Mishaps

Ah midterms, we all know the feeling. Tests, exams, trials, prison. You know, the usual. Thankfully I only had 4 this semester, 2 of which happened ON THE SAME DAY!!

"Kimberly are you serious!? How did you ever survive!?"

Oh, readers, you are too kind to ask. I studied my little tushy off for a week in preparation for that treacherous day, and you know what happened? I got through it! *triumphant music here*. I was feeling ok about the whole day, you know, doubts and all, when a week later, I got my first one back. My heart pounded as I saw my prof pull those yellow and white papers out or his semi-stylish briefcase. He gave a short explanation and the class average and then began to call out names. My friends, by this point I really thought I was going to faint, or go through an early menopause. Then I heard it, in slow motion, "Kimberly McIntyre", came out of his mouth, then embarrassment. I was so eager to collect my paper and see my adequate mark that I made a graceful exit from my desk and tripped over my laptop bag. Oh dear. I snatched the paper from the prof's hand like a snake catches a delicious mouse. I won't drag you through my mark or the rest of the class but I will tell you about my adventures of today, November 1st, 2011.
I walked into my second class of the day, and looked at the massive pile of papers on the front table. My prof, who is a very kind-hearted man, began to hand back the papers and go over them. I realized that some of the answers in my test had been marked wrong, but he was at that very moment listing them as correct. Well, I did the responsible student thing after class and brought to him my concern with proof of notes taken in class. He explained to me that I was a stupid head. JK. He didn't say that, but he did say that my answers were not "properly titled". WHAAA? Anyways, I decided to just take all this a learning experience and not beat myself up over it, even though I studied like my sanity depended on it.

Oh the joys.

Stay safe out there kids,
Kim

  1. Kim, you super super duper need to talk to someone about it, he can't mis-mark a test and demand something he never asked for. DO IT GIRLIE!
